River Thames – Jubilee
River Thames – Jubilee
This venue is in association with
Thames Valley Angling Association
General Description
The Jubilee is part of the Thames flood defences and is a venue that is rarely fished.
It offers a series of purpose-built pegs along much of its length, and reports of catches are steadily improving as the years go by.
For much of the time, there is very little flow on this stretch, giving it more of a Stillwater feel.
Flow only increases when the Thames is in flood.
There are attractive patches of lilies to target, and for those willing to explore, the Jubilee can throw up some real surprises.
Expect to catch roach, bream, and perch — but don’t be shocked if you connect with one of the larger carp that have become increasingly common in the Thames.
