NO LURE FISHING β Lure fishing on Marriner’s Pool is strictly prohibited.
Any member found lure fishing by any method will be suspended with immediate effect and required to attend a disciplinary hearing.
General Description
Located amongst tranquil farmland in Iver, Marriner’s Pool is a great mixed venue that fishes all year round.
With plenty of parking and easy access, it caters to anglers of all ages.
An elongated irrigation pond, the lakeβs water levels drop in summer but remain deep enough to support a large head of fish.
It caters to both pleasure and match anglers.
The lake contains many carp averaging 10β15lb, with the occasional twenty-pounder for those seeking a challenge.
Popular methods include:
- Standard boilie approach
- Freelining corn
- Surface fishing on summer afternoons
For float and pole anglers, there are bream up to 7lb, along with plenty of skimmers and silvers.
The lake has two main banks:
- Open and grassy side β space for seat boxes and bivvies (night fishing permitted)
- Tree-sheltered side β narrower and ideal for stalking
The club has its own clubhouse with toilets (including disabled access) that are cleaned regularly.
Expect to see birdlife such as kites, buzzards, kestrels, robins, tits, chiffchaffs, wrens, and lapwings nesting in nearby fields during spring.

- Enter the code on your membership card into the gate keypad and press enter.
- Parking permitted only on the gravel area.
- No parking on the grass.
