An idyllic 0.9-mile stretch of the River Colne, featuring a weir located about halfway down. This section offers a wonderful variety of fishing opportunities and a peaceful environment rich in wildlife.
- Top Section (Iver Lane to the Weir Pool)
- Deep, steady sections ideal for trotting maggots.
- Species include plenty of roach, good-sized dace, perch, and small chub.
- Perfect for a feeder rod with luncheon meat – specimen barbel and chub are present.
- Occasional large bream and nomadic carp can also be caught.
- Bottom Section (Below the Weir)
- Fast-moving gravel runs with overhanging trees and streamer weed.
- Excellent for surface fishing bread flake for chub.
- Big perch and pike provide sport for predator anglers.
- Wildlife such as kingfishers and wild rabbits make this stretch especially scenic.
