Round twenty of the club championship series took place on the match lake at Southend Farm Fishery, a new venue for Uxbridge Rovers, and upon arrival at the venue the lake looked very nice, with plenty of pegs, an excellent café and good parking facilities. The fishing didn’t disappoint either as some very good catches were recorded. Glen Briggs made it two wins in a row with an excellent 121-4-0 of bream and skimmers caught at 5m fishing meat throught the water at various depths. Fred Fairman took the runner up spot with 82-2-0 of carp caught on the waggler, and third place went to Ryan Fairclough who caught bream and skimmers short on meat and also won the specimen with a carp of 15-6-0 caught on the waggler. The section winners were Bob Lane and Doug Read, and Doug also made it through to the final of the knockout where he will meet Perry Fairclough.
