Bill Parker returned to the Uxbridge Rovers match scene to win the final round of the series at Greenfields on Sunday. Bill, who had missed the previous seven championship matches after getting pneumonia, has now made a good recovery and bounced back to win the match with 40-14-0 of small carp caught using pole tactics on lake three of the fishery. The runner up spot was taken by Ryan Fairclough who was pegged in the small side pond also caught small carp using pole tactics. Third place went to Ryan’s dad Perry who was drawn on lake three. Section winners were Keith Gibson, Doug Read and Mike Smith and Mike also won the specimen on the day. This year’s club champion is Glen Briggs who has now won his fourth club championship in a row. Runner up is the ever-consistent Perry Fairclough and third place went to Mike Smith. Once again, the series has been very well supported by the members of the match group, with consistently high attendances for matches throughout. The next series promises to be an interesting one as we have several new venues on the fixture list, including our very own Batchworth Lake in August.

1 – Bill Parker – 40-14-0
2 – Ryan Fairclough – 33-11-0
3 – Perry Fairclough – 32-9-0

Keith Gibson – Carp – 5-4-0
