Big Batchworth Work Party

A large work party will take place at Batchworth Lake on Sunday 3rd March 9 am.

We’re hoping for a good turn out on this one as it will be the last one before spring.

The club will ensure everyone is fed and watered for the day with constant supply of tea, coffee and biscuits (Please bring your own mugs as we won’t be supplying any). There will also be hot breakfast rolls at lunch for all workers. Bottled water also supplied.

No matter how old you are or unable to do any heavy lifting, please fear not! Come along and get involved, we have plenty of easier/lighter tasks to suit everybody’s fitness levels. If you would prefer to do light duties such as making tea for the workers, doing the cafe run, litter picking… excuses, we will look after you I promise!

The general idea for the day is to clear debris from margins and swims as in to ensure ALL swims are open and fish-able for spring. This will include removal of snags, clearing up litter, moving floating cages etc. If enough people/time maybe also swim repairs etc.

The bigger the turn out the more we can achieve. Our bailiffs are volunteers, who, like yourselves are anglers, who are passionate about the venue, but without our members we simply do not have the man power to do everything alone, we need to come together as a team.

Anyone who wishes to attend please bring any tools/equipment you feel may be beneficial such as hand saws, weed rakes, waders etc.

Look forward to seeing you there and hope for a good turn out.

U even state that u think info is posted. The published info on club site does not show Batch worth lake.
So walking with the aid of a stick, due to foot injury, to answer the call for help.
Not knowing which direction to take to view the info ,you think, is displayed, makes life difficult. As new member thought I would try and help.
The reply I have received, will make me stay at home next time.

      Hi Christopher,

My apologies for using the wrong choice of words, but I was trying to be helpful and I do know there are maps on location at the Rickmansworth Aquadrome.

The Batchworth Venue page displays which lake Batchworth is on the map and does advise that there is access via Frogmoor Lane.

We’re sorry you feel this way and we’re happy for any suggestions on how we can improve the website.
